15 Apr Daily Quote from Maya Angelou
In diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
- Maya Angelou
Today’s Practice:
The purpose of this process is to help you and your children celebrate your unique talents:
Each family member individually writes down one skill or talent that they bring to the home. Family members should think of something the others might not know about them, something that makes them unique.
After each person writes down a hidden talent on an index card, ask for a volunteer to go first in sharing.
Here is how to facilitate the sharing:
- Before the volunteer reads their hidden talent, ask one or two family members to guess what is written on the card.
- After the family members share their guesses, the volunteer shares what they actually wrote.
Then move on to another volunteer, continuing until all family members have had a turn.
Then ask one final question: “How do you feel right now?”
