Let me peer out at the world through your lens. (Maybe I’ll shudder, or gasp, or tilt my head in a question.) Let me see how your blue is my turquoise and my orange is your gold. Suddenly binary stars, we have startling gravity. Let’s compare scintillation—let’s share starlight. -Naomi Shihab Nye

Daily Quote from Naomi Shihab Nye

Let me peer out at the world through your lens. (Maybe I’ll shudder, or gasp, or tilt my head in a question.) Let me see how your blue is my turquoise and my orange is your gold. Suddenly binary stars, we have startling gravity. Let’s compare scintillation—let’s share starlight.

Today’s Practice:

Spend some time together watching a sunrise or a sunset, the night sky, or the deep blue sky (even if it’s through your window).  Take turns sharing your unique descriptions of what each of you feels when you see this beauty of nature. You can also each draw or paint a picture, write a poem or make up a story that describes your shared experience.
