11 Jun Daily Practice Inspired by Margaret J. Wheatley
The future cannot be determined. It can only be experienced as it is occurring. Life doesn't know what it will be until it notices what it has just become.

Today’s Practice:
You can put Margaret Wheatley’s words into practice by practicing mindfulness or focus. My friend and colleague, Daniel Rechtschaffen, describes mindfulness as a “different way of paying attention.” You can practice “paying attention” with your children by sitting together quietly as you listen to all the sounds around you. As you pay attention in this way, you can each think about someone who makes you smile when you think about them. You could also do this with family pets.
Once you think about the person or pet, imagine good things happening for them. This is called the kindness meditation and can bring you into the present moment, noticing all the good things happening in your life right now and wishing good things for others.
