Today’s Practice:

As we spend time every day guiding our children, the great challenge is to push gently while listening intently; guiding with inspiration and consistency while upholding the highest of standards for effort, achievement, and social decision-making; traveling the high road and teaching from that plateau. The essence of caring and thoughtfulness that comes with a focus on the high road leaves footprints of connection on the road of life.

I encourage you to write an affirmation for yourself in which you state the significant role you play now and into the future on the happiness that exists for each of your children. An example might be:

I am someone who helps my children find joy and happiness as they learn and grow through their life experience every day.
