18 May Daily Practice Inspired By Mary Oliver
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting –
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.- Mary Oliver
Today’s Practice:
With a piece of paper, sit down as a family and have each person (including you) write down three things each of you does to help the family. Do not limit yourselves to practical things, but also personality traits such as, “I always have a smile on my face,” or, “I’m usually interested in what other people are doing.”
You can extend this activity by talking about how each of you can bring your gifts out into the world outside of your home.
